Fall 2021, Georgian Bay, ON
Every year the eastern shore of Georgian Bay freezes over starting along the shoreline and slowly creeping across the lake. The ice is fixed in place but the lake levels go up and down with the wind forcing water up through cracks and holes in the ice. The water soaks into the snow that sits on top and forms different shapes and patterns like this almost perfect circle.
