This loon painting is one of the images from a children's book that I have been working on for several years. This story takes place on Georgian Bay right in our area. This loon painting is one of my favourite illustrations I have done so far for the book. These iconic birds are so beautiful and their haunting cry is so lovely to wake up to in the middle of the night. They are such good parents the way they protect their nests and often have the baby loons ride on their backs. I have several matted, unframed, signed copies of this giclée print available.
