Rounding the Bend in Georgian Bay

Additional Information

Cruising the waters of Georgian Bay in our little aluminum boat, I can spend hours lost in thought, snapping photos for painting references and looking for the best places to dock and explore. The title of this piece is inspired by the desire to stay out in the boat as long as possible, to discover what is around the next bend, to see more, and to feel more. As a child, I spent many summers exploring the waters of Parry Sound and Georgian Bay, at a cottage on Isabella Island, which has led to a lifetime of appreciation for Northern Ontario and the need to explore the outdoors. This piece is on a 30'by 24' gallery wrapped canvas with the sides painted black.
