Ojibway Club Art Show 2024

Hole in the Wall 2

Additional Information

This painting is an oil on board. It was completed on sight during a retreat with the OSA on Georgian Bay. Back in the studio I varnish the painting and drop it in a floater frame. I hand finish the ash frame with a dark charcoal finish. when it leaves my studio it wired and ready to hang.

When creating a painting outdoors, decisions must be made in the moment and adhered to for a convincing outcome. While the moments continually change, the decisions are being made instantaneously throughout the process to the conclusion of the painting. It’s like trying to hit a bullseye at a moving target, over and over again.
