I have been in engaging in a community where there are traditional sweats held by a medicine man and his family. Some people of this First Nation have been supporting the ongoing trials that will support First Nation in their hope for a more just and equal distribution of land and wealth. I began this series well before it became news. By acknowledging the vast territory as a homeland for First Nation, I feel closer to this land as a settler. It still holds my heart and supports my life, but I know deeply, it is not mine. we share the future.
