Colourful Trees Beaver Valley

Additional Information

This painting was one of the first of my colourful trees paintings. I was hiking in a forest in winter. The night before, the wind had been howling sideways, and each tree was half white where the snow had stuck to it, and half dark, on the protected side of the tree. Then the sun came out and the snow on the trees, together with the view, dazzled my eyes. There was so much light and energy, I needed to get it onto canvas!
The view is looking over the Beaver Valley, and is painted in oil. It is done on gallery wrapped canvas, and is ready to hang.
