One of my main interests is to paint the lake water of Ontario's North. I love to be out in my kayak and observe reflections that create patterns on the water's surface. I use acrylic paint on a wooden panel and then add a coat or two of resin to enhance the water effect. My water reflections take many hours to paint, as I build up layers with a variety of colours, before adding the naturalistic colours on top. I have had viewers tell me they feel they could dive in. In this case, I observed the water moving gently along the shore reflecting the greenery of the trees. The painting is unframed as the painting is carried around onto the edges.
