Gloaming is a Scottish word from the Middle Ages referring to the darkening of dusk. The stillness and brevity of this time of day insists I drop out of thinking to Be with it.
First the wood grain called to become a sky and the rest followed from my imagination. I have carved a line into the wood at the horizon for the last glow of daylight. It feels like a remote northern coastal landscape, I hope to visit sometime in the future. Unframed. 1.5″ birch panel depth.
