I started to work with clay around ten years ago. It was an absolutely life-changing point for me. Before that I was mostly a city girl interested in design, interior decoration and art. I studied the Fundamentals of Interior Design at Ryerson University and worked as the home stager and decorator. Step by step putting my hands deeper in clay I realized that I need my own studio somewhere far from city, close to nature. And we ended up in Pointe Au Baril where I set up my studio. I am very inspired by nature images around me, organic shapes and beauty of natural imperfections, which are totally perfect! We are avid travellers as well, so I love to get my inspiration from different cultures all around the world (Japan, Australia, Mexico....) This year I would like to present not only my pottery but some of my paintings on wood and fabric.
